As soon as their parents tucked them into bed, they would transform into little monsters! Kendra would sprout purple fur all over her body and grow a long tail with a bow at the end, while Lukas would turn orange with tiny horns and teeth that looked too big for his mouth. The first night it happened, they snuck downstairs and decided the best way to surprise their parents was by hiding under the kitchen table and nibbling on their parents’ toes. “RAWR! Monster toe attack!” Kendra giggled as she gently nipped her mom’s toes, while Lukas tried to chomp on his dad’s slippers, only to end up spitting out fuzz. “Bleh, monster teeth don’t like that!”

Their parents, half laughing and half confused, played along. “Oh no! The toe monsters are here!” Kendra’s dad cried, hopping on one foot as she tried to catch him. Lukas’s oversized monster feet cause him to trip and fall face-first into a pile of pillows, which only made him laugh harder. When they got bored of toe-biting, the two monster kids decided to raid the fridge. Kendra, who had a sudden craving for monster snacks, pulled out a carton of whipped cream and started squirting it directly into her mouth, while Lukas tried to open a jar of pickles but ended up flinging it across the room. “Monsters like messy food!” Lukas announced, as they both covered themselves in whipped cream and pickles, giggling the whole time.

When the clock struck midnight, Kendra and Lukas would always yawn and slowly turn back into their regular selves, exhausted from their monster mischief. Their parents would shake their heads, trying not to laugh too much as they cleaned up the chaos left behind. “I think our little monsters are ready for bed,” Kendra’s mom said, wiping whipped cream off her arm. Kendra and Lukas, still giggling but now sleepy, snuggled into bed, promising that tomorrow night’s monster adventures would be even sillier.
